Internet Law Degree
Those seeking a career in the legal profession will be required to obtain a law degree prior to applying for any major jobs. This should be a fairly obvious point but how the degree can be obtained may be a little confusing. By attending an actual campus you can complete the course work, the bar exam, and then receive your degree and be qualified to practice law. However, if you are looking to attend an online law school then there are a few necessities for you to obtain the law degree.
The main issue with online law schools is that they are not accredited. This means that almost everyone that completes a law course or program with an online law school will not be allowed to complete the bar exam. There are quite a few individuals that are an exception to this rule though as only 49 of the states in the United States require you to have gone to an accredited school to be able to complete the bar exam.
There are still a few states that do not require you to have received your law degree from an accredited law school. In these states, you could complete the course or program at an online law school, receive your law degree, then be qualified for the bar exam. Upon passing the bar exam you would then be allowed to practice law but it may be limited to the state that you passed the bar exam in. The specific laws, regulations, and requirements for being qualified for the bar exam and going to online law school will vary by area and are always changing so make sure you read up further on this.
There are other requirements for you to be able to obtain a law degree through online schooling as well. There may also be parts of the course that you are required to complete at a physical location, as opposed to through the online studying program. You can find out more details about the course requirements and program details if you want to look further into studying law online.
